Childhood
I have seen the light of this world for the first time on 20th June 1980 at 10:01am in Hyderabad. I am Left-handed.
Family
My Parents, Mr. Rajender Katakolla works for the State Secretariat's Home Department as a Section officer and my mother Mrs. Rajeshwari Katakolla works for the Accountant General's Office as a Senior Accountant. And, my only younger sister Dr. Ms. Malavika (BPT) is a Physiotherapist by profession.
Academics
Schooling was unfortunately not at all at one stable place for me as i changed 5 schools since my Kindergaten. Till my Fourth Class i was at St.Marks Public School Khairatabad, then changed to Seventh Day Adventist High School( ICSE), Chapel Road for my Fifth and as we had to shift our home, again i shifted to SDAH Karmanghat, NS Road Branch to continue my Sixth class, later on I did my High Schooling at Methodist Boys' High School, Abids, Hyderabad.
I did my Intermediate Education (+2) at St. George's Boys' Junior College, Abids, Hyderabad.
Never really dreamt of joining an Engineering course, but got through Eamcet and joined Electronics and Communications Engineering at Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Here i developed a niche for Communications Engineering Science.
I Landed in Germany on 3rd Oct 2002 in a small and beautiful German city called Wolfsburg, to do my Masters in Computer Science. Later in October 2004, I joined Masters in Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik( Electrical Engineering and Information Technology) at the University of Hannover at Hannover in North German state called Neidersachsen ( Lower Saxony) with Wireless Communication Engineering as my Major.
In 2005 i joined DELPHI Fuba Automotive GmbH, Bad Salzdetfurth, Germany as a Research Assistant working on Radio Reception Technology in Automobiles.
In January 2007 i received UK Working Holiday Maker visa from Germany. I reached London on a 1-year work permit in April 2007.
In May 2007, i joined US based NSTL, (The National Software Testing Labs) lab located at SQS (Software Quality Systems)-UK, Woking, Surrey as a "Mobile Application Tester "
As an application tester i was involved in testing different mobile-based applications on different platforms such as Microsoft, Symbian and Qualcomm BREW.
Our NSTL lab is responsible for testing mobile apps. from different developers throughout the world, especially Europe. I worked on different testing certifications
Java Verified™ Certification, Vodafone™ Certification, Orange™ Certification, Symbian™ Signed Certification, Qualcomm TBT® (True BREW Testing) and independent NSTL appRelay projects.
On August 21st 2007, I received the US Non-immigrant worker H1-B visa.
Since, September 2007 I am working at the NSTL Lab, UK as "Test Lead" for Qualcomm TBT® and NSTL apprelay Projects

Any kind of soft music charges me up. I like to listen to Hindi bollywood songs and also singles by Joss Stone, Norah Jones, and Robbie Williams.
Travelling
I simply love it. I have travelled most of the important places in Europe, some parts of northern India and a little of USA. My dream is to visit some unexplored places in the world but life is not too short and am waiting for the right opportunity.

I have explored little northern part of India including Delhi, Hardwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
